Technical Experience
Another aspect to my Lead Editor role has been with backend infrastructure. My experience with audio equipment transferred well to IT and computers and that has enabled me to spec, budget and build the edit suites at Recipe for both PC and Mac.
I’ve set up basic networking, configured storage servers and ensured that the equipment we use for on set editing is robust and reliable as well as put procedures into place to ensure that all our data is safe and backed up. I have also been heavily involved with improving our workflow both on premisis and remotely.

I have deployed Trello in our team to keep on top of our projects, to do lists and admin tasks. I moved our company from WeTransfer to a fully featured Frame.io workflow and trained agency and production on how to use it to share links, feedback and deliveries.
I have also implemented systems for remote work, we recently upgraded our NAS with a EditShare system that I specced and budgeted as well as setting up Parsec as our remote working software.
This has enabled us to continue working safely during the pandemic as well as ensure that we stay connected to our peers and are also as productive as we can be.
